The CUDAS Unhooked Residential Home stands as a powerful example of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, along with the hands and hearts of local volunteers, businesses, and supporters, this home was created to be more than just a place to stay—it was built to be a place of stability, growth, and hope.

From the foundation to the finishing touches, community members played a vital role in bringing this vision to life. Their continued support ensures that the home remains a safe and welcoming environment for the students we serve.

Our residential home can house up to five students at a time, providing a stable and structured living environment for local high school youth experiencing neglect, abuse, homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

Each student who enters our home is given more than just a bed—they are given consistency, support, and the opportunity to focus on their future.

The home is staffed with 24-hour supervision, led by a dedicated live-in house parent who provides daily guidance, accountability, and care. This consistent presence helps create a family-like atmosphere where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged.

CUDAS Unhooked is not a licensed foster care facility, which means we do not receive state or federal funding.

Every aspect of the residential home—from utilities and groceries to programming and maintenance—is made possible entirely through the generosity of community donors, local businesses, churches, and volunteers.

This model allows us to remain flexible, relationship-driven, and deeply connected to the needs of our local students—but it also means we rely heavily on continued community support to keep our doors open.
